MID AUTUMN DRAMA + DANCE PERFORMANCES

Most cultures have harvest festivals, and Mid Autumn is one of it. The Mid Autumn Festival is also fondly known as the Lantern or Mooncake Festival because of the festivities that surround the occasion. Traditionally, it is an occasion spent with family members, similar to Thanksgiving. Drop by and capture the timeless fond traditions surrounding the festival, soak in the convivial mood by enjoying the special performance of drama and dance by the children lovers!

6.00 - 7.00 pm
A FAMILY CREATIVITY...STAND A CHANCE TO WIN RM300

Unleash the soulful artist in you with DIY lantern using recycled materials, and the highest voted lantern shall go home with RM300. It is always fun to do project utilizing items we would normally just toss away. It’s not only a great way to recycle and be green - but an excellent family time to be creative. Start thinking on the design of your lantern and collect your recycled materials now! And bring all the neces- sary tools you’ll need to the venue too, as it is hands on time! P/S: Every attendee holds a vote, so remember to bring more supporters to vote for you!

LANTERNS PARADE & FAMILY GAMES AT THE LAKE

Make sure you are armed with a camera, and indulge in a little snap happy clicking of your own. As it it the time to be proud of your DIY lanterns and show it to the world! You may even catch a glimpse of your lantern’s reflection on the quiet lake. Being a city kid, we missed out lots of fun playing with the nature, unleash our imagination and create our own exciting games instead of buying them from a store. But it is never too late to recollect our childhood memories, to create a new family joy!

MOONCAKE EXCHANGE CEREMONY

Bring your favourite flavour’s mooncake as your entrance ticket! At this time, no matter how explosive the myths behind the Mid-Autumn Festival are, we still enjoy the exquisitely tasty mooncakes that are available in myriad flavours from lotus to ice cream, exchange it with a friend, share your love, and saunter in the moonlight with the lan- tern carrying brigade.
